The Nijenrode estate is dominated by the thirteenth-century castle. Situated in a park-like estate and surrounded by a moat, the castle is a true eye-catcher. The Nijenrode estate is known for its beautiful landscape architecture. Since 2001, the estate has enjoyed the protection provided by the Historic Buildings and Ancient Monuments Act. The estate is bordered by the Vecht River and the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal. The deer park, the maze, the rose garden, hiking and jogging trails through the woods, and a lane with centuries-old chestnut trees - these are only a few examples of the features that make the estate so unique.
In addition to the historic castle with its coach house (renovated in 2008), on the 50-hectare estate, you will also find our modern, multifunctional educational buildings with their wide variety of lecture halls. These comfortable lecture halls are all equipped with modern presentation and communication facilities.
