- a minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional work experience
- a university degree (or equivalent) with an excellent academic record
- a thorough command of written and spoken English
- taken the TOEFL test or IELTS test (for non-native English speakers)
- taken a GMAT or GRE test
- completed an application package, including the four written essays and two letters of recommendation
- a selection interview, which takes place after the complete application package has been reviewed by our Admissions Committee

How long will I have to wait to hear if I've been successful?
We don't want to keep you in suspense. As soon as we receive your application, we'll review it and let you know right away (within a week, normally) if you've been selected for an interview. And after your interview, whether face-to-face or by phone, you'll hear from us within one or two weeks. If we'd like to offer you a place, but haven't yet received all of the parts of your application we need, we may offer you a conditional acceptance.

But can I learn Dutch?
Of course! If enough students in the class are interested, we can organize a series of Dutch tutorials to be held on-campus and planned around your busy academic schedule. Please keep in mind that because not all students will decide to follow these tutorials, the costs are not covered by your tuition fees. Students opting to take these Dutch tutorials will be asked to contribute towards the cost of the sessions. The exact schedule and fees will be determined once the International MBA program has started in September.
Does Nyenrode offer scholarships?

Does the university provide accommodation?
Yes, it does. The Nyenrode campus comprises the grounds of a 13th century estate, just south of Amsterdam. All of our full-time students qualify for on-campus accommodation, and have access to our campus facilities.

Can I apply digitally?
Yes, you can download an application form for the full-time International MBA. The requirements are still the same as a paper application, naturally. Application requirements and processes are exactly the same for paper and digital applications. We still require you to submit hard certified copies of your diploma and transcript by post.

We can't compare oranges to apples. We get applications from every country, background, and discipline you can imagine. We have to insist that all candidates take the GMAT or GRE test so that our Admissions Committee can make fair and objective decisions.

What if I'm accepted, but can't start right away. Can I defer my application?
We're willing to wait for the right people. If you're accepted, you may be able to defer your entrance by one year. When you fill out the application form, be sure to let us know which year you're applying for. We'll have to decide whether to accept these requests case by case, depending on your reasons for wanting to wait. If we accept you as a deferred candidate, we'll get in touch six to eight months before your starting date to confirm your enrollment in the following year.

What living and studying expenses can I expect asides from the tuition fee?
Although costs can vary according to your expectations and lifestyle, recent graduates say that a good guide for rent and living expenses is estimated around € 800 - 1,000 per month for a single student.
Estimated monthly on-campus rental expenses
- Large-sized room with kitchenette € 593 (30m2)
- Medium-sized room with kitchenette € 563 (25m2)
- Single-sized room without kitchenette €545 (a fridge is provided)
- Partner accommodation € 65
- Estimated living expenses € 400 (excluding housing)
- Estimated health insurance expenses €50
Other possible expenses are estimated to be as follows
- School readers and case material ± € 1,250 for the year
- Textbooks ± € 1,000 for the year
- Visa for the Netherlands ± € 600* (if applicable)
- Estimated flight and travel costs, including applicable visas for international study trips ± € 2,500-3,000 for the year
Other costs to take into consideration could include flights to return home on holidays, if desired, among other expenses. This numbers are estimates that are provided as a guide for your planning. They are subject to change.

How long is the program?
The core program of the International MBA takes 12 months to complete, and starts in September. . Our goal is to have all our graduates re-enter the workforce as soon as possible to ensure that you can start capitalizing on your investment in Nyenrode’s MBA as soon as possible.

Our students graduate with a comprehensive view of business and management, and as such are prepared to succeed in any company and industry. We do, however, encourage students to choose one of our focused courses, which is an extended course prepared to take students' learning even further in one of four areas: Innovation and New Business, International Leadership, Finance and Banking, or International Marketing.
