Nyenrode Business Universiteit is located near Amsterdam, in Breukelen. Breukelen is a town with 9590 inhabitants and is situated on the rivers “de Vecht” and the “Amsterdam Rijn kanaal.” Breukelen is famous for its medieval castles and seventeenth century houses, which belonged to the wealthy families of Amsterdam. The town has also the distinction of having given its name to Brooklyn, New York in the United States.
 
Breukelen is centrally located and has easy access roads to destinations including the city centers of Amsterdam and Utrecht only twenty kilometers away. Breukelen is also well-served by public transportation: there are many bus stops throughout the area and there is a train station that has trains leaving to Amsterdam and Utrecht every 15 to 30 minutes.
