Hans Bossert is a Professor of Public Governance at the Nyenrode Business Universiteit. He also is partner/owner of Bossert, Hovestadt & Partners. A consulting firm mainly focused on public sector. His main areas of interest are privatizations and public-private arrangement as conditions for a better performing government.
Before joining Nyenrode he was a partner of the Deloitte CIS firm, based in the consultancy practice. Hans has been the chairman of the Global Public Sector Industry and the industry leader for EMEA Public Sector. Deloitte Public Sector Industry focuses on five core themes all very close related to ‘New Public Management’ initiative. In which one of the more major themes is Innovative Partnerships. Besides that he is as an academic professor also a leading teacher and researcher in the field of public management at one top business schools in Europe, The Nyenrode Business Universiteit.
He graduated as a management accountant in 1984 and has a PhD in management accounting since 1993. He has over 20 years experience in management and business performance consultancy in the public sector of the Netherlands. He has provided assistance to the majority of the Dutch ministries and/or related agencies. For the last 7 years he is also a frequently requested advisor of many governments in Europe as well in other regions.
