Hans ten Rouwelaar is Assistant Professor and Ph.D. Researcher of Management Accounting & Control at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. He is also the coordinator of the Center for Management Accounting & Control and chairman of the Management Control Committee for the Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. As a teacher, Hans is involved in several executive and in-company programs, teaching Management Control as the main topic. Moreover he supervises several master thesis projects for the Master of Science in Controlling.

At the Vrije Universiteit in Amsterdam, Hans obtained his Master of Science in Econometrics and is currently working on his doctoral thesis. His Ph.D. project covers “The Roles of Business Unit Controllers” from different angles. Besides that he leads a number of practice oriented research projects with ConQuaestor (corporate performance measurement in the Health Care sector) and PA-Consulting Group (Controller 2020). The results of these research projects are published in Dutch practitioners journals.
