Venugopal Venkataraman is Professor of Supply Chain Operations at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. His teaching and research activities are focused on Supply Chain Management, Operations Management and Modeling Business Decisions.
He has held visiting faculty positions in China, India and other European academic institutes. His research has been widely published in leading International academic journals such as the European Journal of Operations Research, International Journal of Production Research and Decision Support Systems. He received “Professor of the year Award” for Teaching Excellence in MBA programs and Masters Program at Nyenrode. He received the ‘MCB Award for Research Excellence’ in 1997. He is a member of the Editorial Board of International Journal of Procurement Management, International Journal of Mathematics in Operational Research, International Journal of Green Computing, and IIMB Review, . He is also referee for several International Journals such as European Journal of Operational Research, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Supply Chain Management – an International Journal, Computer and Industrial Engineering and Journal of Manufacturing Technology Management. . He is listed in Marquis's ‘Who's Who in Science & Engineering’.
Venugopal holds a PhD in Operations Management, MS in Industrial Management from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
