Castle and estate

Nyenrode Business University is situated on a 60 hectare estate. The rich history of the estate and its Castle goes back to the thirteenth century. You can still see many historic features in and around the Castle, even though it was damaged and restored several times over the centuries. On our estate you will find many sights and monuments, such as the Rosarium, the Koetshuis and our Menagerie.

In 1946, the Netherlands International Education Institute NOIB was established in the Castle. The castle and estate were renovated to suit university campus life, and new facilities were built around the estate's woodlands over the years. Eventually, NOIB became Nyenrode Business Universiteit.
