About the Fund

Nyenrode Fund is the university fund of Nyenrode Business University.

The Nyenrode Fund is the university fund of Nyenrode Business University. The foundation acquires philanthropic contributions for the university. Donations received benefit the Nyenrode Foundation or Nyenrode Business University for the 3 pillars we stand for: heritage, scholarships and research.

Thanks to the support of alumni and other donors, talented students are given the opportunity to study at our university, we contribute to the care of the Nijenrode Estate with its 27 monuments, and young scholars can conduct research on the themes of the future.

To make this possible, Nyenrode makes capacity and financial resources available for staff and operational costs of the Nyenrode Development Office to which the Nyenrode Fund belongs. Donations will fully benefit the projects.

Mission

Nyenrode's mission is 'serving society by shaping responsible leaders for a sustainable future'. Through our education and research, we aim to inspire leaders to develop into responsible individuals capable of driving sustainable transformation.

The Nyenrode Fund contributes to this mission by raising funds for three pillars:

  1. Scholarships for talented and ambitious students in need of financial support;
  2. Research that guides organizations towards a sustainable future;
  3. Heritage preservation, ensuring future generations can enjoy our lush estate with historical monuments.

ANBI Status

The Nyenrode Fund holds ANBI status, recognized as a Public Benefit Organization. This means that under certain conditions, donations are tax-deductible.

A Brief History

The current form and mission of the Nyenrode Fund originated in 2004 and emerged from the Postma Chair Foundation. This foundation provided "soft" loans and grants to students to finance their studies. Thanks to generous gifts from alumni, the Fund was established, offering talented students the opportunity to study at Nyenrode.

In 2004, the then-President of Nyenrode, Herman Bruggink, initiated the establishment of the Nyenrode Fund Foundation as we know it today. Henceforth, funds were also raised for other projects, including the maintenance of our heritage and educational facilities, as well as for research projects.
