Marie-Joëlle Browaeys is researcher in management education. She writes international textbooks and develops supporting teaching material. Her research domain is essentially organizational learning. This comprises research in business culture and management, complexity thinking, didactics and learning technologies.

Marie-Joëlle is assistant professor Cross-cultural management and Thesis supervisor for the research center Center of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. Besides, she was Project manager virtual education in various Nyenrode programs and Program manager for the Executive Education.

In the last 10 years, Marie-Joëlle has written four editions of the book ‘Understanding cross-cultural management’, which were published by Pearson. She gets energy from working together with (ex)colleagues, students, and alumni. She also would like to make people aware of the importance of cross-cultural issues in management education. Therefore, she wrote an impact case on this book.

Marie-Joëlle studied at the department of Education Sciences, Academy of Lille (France). Thereafter, she graduated at the Faculty of Arts, University of Amsterdam.
