In the dynamics of today's and tomorrow's world, rethinking is crucial. The biggest mistake people make is thinking the world is static. On Thursday, February 2, 2023 it's time for TEDxNyenrodeUniversity. During this event, with the theme Think Upside Down, various speakers share their stories with the audience. This TEDx is organized by strategy and innovation agency Stay Future Proof and Nyenrode Business University. TEDxNyenrodeUniversity Think Upside Down takes place in the Koetshuis of Nyenrode Business University. Since physical participation is limited, it is also possible to reserve tickets for virtual participation in this inspiring event.

Any interruption of the status quo is seen as undesirable. It also ensures that certain thought patterns persist: “It worked yesterday, so it will work today” or "I've always done it this way and I wouldn't know how to do it any other way." However, the facts clearly show that the world is changing rapidly. The ones who invent the game are the ones who look at the world differently. This applies to people and organizations. During TEDxNyenrodeUniversity, different speakers from different backgrounds will inspire us to think Upside Down.

  • Ralf Wetzel, Professor of Organization & Applied Arts, reveals why leaders and administrators can learn a lot from clowns.
  • Charlotte Melkert explains how she and her twin sister Fleur have set up a tech company that contributes to a more inclusive world and how they are on their way to conquering the world. The twin sisters are together in Forbes' European list of most influential people under the age of 30 and won the Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year audience award in November.
  • Prof. Bas Kodden, professor of Leadership & Management Development, shares how his vision of leadership ensures that an individual's abnormality is embraced.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video, and live speakers are combined to encourage deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are called TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidelines for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)

About TED
