Nyenrode Business University has appointed Dr. R.P. (Ruud) van den Dool (1967) as Professor of Fiscal Economics & Tax Accounting, effective February 6. In this role, he will focus on research and teaching related to the economic effects of taxation on businesses and individuals, with particular emphasis on simplification and efficiency. Dr. van den Dool will be affiliated with the Nyenrode Center for Corporate Reporting, Finance & Tax.

Sustainability has firmly moved to the core of corporate strategy for large organizations in the Benelux. At the same time, translating ambition into execution remains challenging, particularly within international supply chains. This is shown by the first Sustainability Action Barometer 2026 (SAB) by Nyenrode Business University and Tata Consultancy Services.

Nyenrode Business University has appointed Prof. Dr. Ir. Nicolas Chevrollier as Professor of Sustainability Transitions. With this appointment, Nyenrode strengthens its focus on the acceleration of sustainable change in business and society. The chair is embedded in the Center for Entrepreneurship, Governance & Stewardship.

Organizations that strive for innovation, adaptability, and growth cannot do without rebels in their ranks. Nyenrode professor Bas Kodden’s advice is clear: cherish and facilitate the good rebels in your organization.
