Scholarships
Every year, highly motivated and talented young people apply to study at Nyenrode, which they can only do if we help them with a scholarship. Largely thanks to recurring donations from alumni, the Nyenrode Fund, through its Scholarship Fund, has in recent years made it possible for such talent to study at Nyenrode.
Give someone else the unique Nyenrode Experience
Those alumni that donate to scholarships - individually or together with fellow alumni or fraternity members - do so with the awareness that their special time and education at Nyenrode has been the basis for their personal formative years and careers. They want to pass this unforgettable experience on to the future generations.
We want to offer everyone, regardless of nationality, background and financial means, an education at Nyenrode. However, by no means all talents who apply can study here through their own means.
Nyenrode Business University is the Netherlands' only private university. This means that studying at Nyenrode is significantly more expensive than other universities in the Netherlands. A loan from the bank is not an option these days, so tuition fees must be raised by students themselves.
Diversity
In addition, to educate our students to become the responsible leaders of the future, diversity in the classroom within all of our programs is very important. Scholarships help ensure that talent from around the world and from very diverse backgrounds can study at Nyenrode and increase the diversity of our student population.
Therefore, we are constantly looking for donors who want to help give these students the opportunity to study at Nyenrode.
Should you, like many other alumni, want to enable a scholarship* individually or with your fellow classmates, vertical association or year club? Then read more about tax-deductible donations. You are making a difference for the talents of the future! Check out the ways to donate here.
*It is a long tradition within Nyenrode that the scholarships that are awarded are 'revolving' in nature. This means that recipients of scholarships accept the moral obligation to give what they once received. They become donors themselves when they graduate and are financially able to do so. In this way, the Scholarship Fund receives ongoing funding and can continue to award scholarships in the future.
"My parents could barely afford Nyenrode for me and studying and certainly going to Nyenrode was not a given at our house.
I had a great time at Nyenrode, enjoyed everything and Nyenrode has definitely shaped me as well and brought me a lot and so I am happy to contribute something to students who can't just go to Nyenrode without support from this initiative."
