The world’s largest companies are pushing a digital technology agenda that is changing the way the rest of the world works. Over $ 1.7 trillion in market capitalization resides in just four digital business masters: Apple, Google, Amazon and Facebook. It seems companies have no choice but to innovate if they want to compete and succeed and stay on the cutting edge of technology.

How do you keep reflecting in an ever-accelerating society? Robotization and digitization have become commonplace. Especially now, it is important to give direction to the increased volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity in our lives. This is the message of Sharda Nandram, Associate Professor at the Center for Entrepreneurship & Stewardship at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. She has published three books on this subject.

Olympic sports federation NOC*NSF and Nyenrode Business Universiteit signed a declaration of intent today for collaboration in the area of leadership development in sports. On September 14th, Nyenrode Business Universiteit’s secondary campus in Amsterdam was opened in festive style. With this secondary campus, Nyenrode aims to increase its international appeal and tap into new target groups. This year the full-time MBA offered by Nyenrode was launched in Amsterdam. Next year an expansion of the full-time Master of Science in Management will begin at the location. ​

As of September 1st, Prof. Bas Hillebrand has been named professor by special appointment to hold the chair in “Innovations in Tourism”. Travel industry organization ANVR will hereby team up with Nyenrode Business Universiteit for a period of five years. In this chair, Hillebrand will carry out research with a focus on marketing and innovation in the travel sector. Rapid digital developments and critical consumers have turned the travel sector into a dynamic industry in which ANVR and Nyenrode see ample opportunity for research into innovation.
