Keuzegids once again grants 'top program' designation to Nyenrode programs

The results of the National Student Survey 2018 were announced on March 5. These results are linked to the ratings of various master’s programs in the Netherlands. In a repeat to last year’s achievement, the Masters in Business Administration and Controlling have been declared the “Best Masters” of their kind. This marks the tenth time in a row that the Business Administration program has earned this honor.

With a score of 7.6, the Executive Master of Finance & Control (EMFC) received the designation of “top program” and came in third place in its category.

Accountancy & Controlling

Nyenrode holds the top two spots in the category of Accountancy & Fiscal Economics. The Master in Controlling has the highest rating at 7.0, while the Master in Accountancy earned a score of 6.4. The programs stand out because they are both taught in Dutch, whereas competitors’ programs are predominantly offered in English. With its first-place finish, Nyenrode’s Master in Controlling edged past the Master in Accountancy to secure the title of “Best Master”.

The Master in Fiscal Economics at Nyenrode received an above-average score. The Keuzegids says the following about this category: “Students praise the excellent support and guidance at the top-scoring universities. Elsewhere, however, this is in fact an area for improvement.”

Business Administration

For the tenth year in a row, both the full-time and part-time MSc in Management programs at Nyenrode have been declared the best Business Administration masters in the country. With scores of 7.8 in 2017, 8.0 in 2018 and 8.9 in 2019, ratings continue to rise and students clearly hold the programs in exceptionally high regard. According to the Keuzegids, students rate their program as truly top-notch: “Students value the practice-oriented approach. They learn practical skills and have a high level of contact with professionals in the business world.”

Miša Džoljić, Rector Magnificus of Nyenrode Business University, is pleased with the scores achieved by the various programs: “Being named the best Business Administration master for the tenth time is an impressive accomplishment by the university and the program team in particular. This appreciation from our students motivates us to continue focusing on the right things, such as strengthening our link to the business community and delivering (individual) added value for society.”
