Closer collaboration between Nyenrode and IE University

Madrid-based IE University and Nyenrode Business Universiteit have stepped up their collaboration. In addition to the relationship and activities already in place, an agreement was signed on December 19 formalizing the collaboration. The signing took place at a dinner held at the Slangevegt restaurant, after a tour of both of Nyenrode’s locations in Breukelen and Amsterdam.

Part of the collaboration is the appointment of Nick van Dam as Executive Board member at IE University. Nick van Dam is professor of Corporate Learning & Development at Nyenrode and Academic Director of the International Masterclass on Learning & Development Leadership. This program is a new masterclass in the Executive Education program offered by the two universities and is also part of the collaboration.

The International Masterclass on Learning & Development Leadership was set up under Van Dam’s guidance. This program consists of an online introduction and two modules, one in Breukelen and one in Madrid/Segovia. Van Dam talks about the program: “We reflect on your way of encouraging colleagues and discovering their qualities. The topic of innovation and transformation of the Leadership & Development strategy and corresponding function is also addressed. By keeping up with current developments and learning how innovations can be incorporated in this strategy, the participants, mainly L&D managers, learn how this can help them move forward in their work.”

Alongside his appointment in Madrid, Nick van Dam will continue to be connected with Nyenrode as a professor and as an external adviser at McKinsey & Company.
