Dr. Willem Schramade appointed as Professor of Finance

Dr. Willem Schramade has been appointed as Professor of Finance at Nyenrode Business University as of October 1, 2023. Schramade is part of the Nyenrode Faculty Expertise Center Corporate Reporting, Finance & Tax.

In addition to his professorship, Schramade remains connected as Head of Sustainability Client Advisory at Schroders, a multinational asset manager. He has over 20 years of experience in Finance and has extensive experience in advising national and international clients in the field of Finance and ESG.

Schramade received his PhD in Rotterdam (2006) on the dissertation ‘Corporate bond issuers’. He also has many scientific publications to his name and has published four books so far, the latest in 2023: Corporate Finance for Long-Term Value. (Schoenmaker, D., & Schramade, W., Springer Verlag).

About his appointment at the university, Schramade says: “Nyenrode is a beautiful institute with a strong offering of executive education and interdisciplinary research. I am very excited to give an extra boost to the many initiatives in the field of sustainability from a finance perspective. And I look forward to working with colleagues who approach sustainability from reporting and corporate governance.”
