"Executive MBA students on the road to Berkeley"
The Executive MBA offers a unique view on and insight in international business. One of the recent collaborations is the one with the University of California, Berkeley - known to be top of the list in several rankings. Berkeley will be host to Nyenrode’s Executive MBA students as one of the international modules of the program. According to Nyenrode Prof. Dr. Désirée van Gorp: ‘’The opportunity for our EMBA students to attend a module at Berkeley is an opportunity to take a deep dive into innovation and digitalization by working with the top faculty of Berkeley University. A life-shaping experience enriching your professional and personal life.’’
During the module, Prof. Dr. Désirée van Gorp will work together with professors from Berkeley offering a series of lectures and company visits focused on topics such as digital transformation and leadership, design thinking, innovation in a corporate versus start-up environment. The innovative character of these lectures stem from the location at which this international module is held. The city of Berkeley is part of Alameda County, a bay area that is associated with Silicon Valley due to its location. Additionally, this module will focus on ‘Doing Business Globally’.
In the words of Dr. Bas Kodden, Program Director: “It is important for our students to receive a global education, and to understand how culture impacts the implementation of the newest innovations. Each student will take an active role in their learning, reflecting on their strengths and consciously developing their professional value. This personal leadership development is aided by work placements at international companies, chosen to complement and enhance their growing skill sets.”
Alongside this module, Nyenrode offers EMBA students modules at campus in Breukelen, at Stellenbosch Business School in South Africa, Renmin University of China in Beijing and at IEEM Business School in Uruguay.
The international modules of Executive MBA are part of the eleven-module program and introduce you to various cultures within the global business world. Want to know more about Executive MBA’s international modules? Visit Nyenrode.nl/EMBA.
