King Willem-Alexander has appointed Prof. Dr. Paul Hilbers as Commander in the Order of Orange-Nassau. Following his farewell address, Hilbers—who specializes in financial sector supervision within Nyenrode’s Faculty Expert Center for Entrepreneurship, Governance & Stewardship—received the royal honor on Friday, February 14, presented by Minister of Finance Eelco Heinen.
In addition to his role as a professor at Nyenrode Business University, Hilbers worked at De Nederlandsche Bank and recently served as the Dutch Executive Director at the IMF. His work placed him at the heart of shifting international dynamics and their economic and financial implications.
