Students once again rate Nyenrode Master’s programs as the best of their kind

The 2018 Keuzegids (Selection Guide) for Master’s Programs has declared Nyenrode Business Universiteit’s Master’s programs as the “Best Masters” in the Netherlands. The Master in Management, Master in Controlling, Executive Master of Finance and Control, and Part-time Master in Tax Law can once again call themselves the best programs of their kind. The results were determined based on the National Student Survey 2017, under the responsibility of the Higher Education Information Center (CHOI).

Business Administration
For the ninth time in a row, both the full-time and part-time MSc in Management at Nyenrode have been voted the best Business Administration masters. With a score of 8.0 this year compared to 7.8 in 2017, the programs were yet again highly rated by students.

Accountancy & Controlling
In the Accountancy & Controlling category, both first and second place belong to Nyenrode Business Universiteit. The Master in Controlling is ranked as the best with a score of 7.6. The Master in Accountancy came in second in the same category with a score of 7.0, making it the best accountancy program in the Netherlands. The explanation in the Keuzegids reads: “Nyenrode’s programs perform well in the quality comparison, especially the Controlling degree.”

In the sub-category of academic (WO) Masters for professionals (part-time), the Executive Master of Finance and Control earned a rating of 8.2 compared to 7.6 last year. According to the Keuzegids, students are thrilled about the program: “They speak very highly of their expert lecturers. The deadlines are well distributed throughout the year, so students are confident that they can graduate without delays. Study spaces and other facilities are also nicely in order.”

Tax Law
The Master in Tax Law has been rated as the best part-time program in this category with a score of 8.0 compared to 7.6 in 2017. The Keuzegids notes that there are major quality differences among Tax Law masters. According to the guide, the part-time program at Nyenrode earned the top spot due to its focus on the professional practice.

Keuzegids (Selection Guide) for Master’s ProgramsThe Keuzegids for Master’s Programs is published each year by the Higher Education Information Center (CHOI). The guide rates all master’s programs in the Netherlands based on quality assessments by students in the National Student Survey as well as the opinions of experts from the Accreditation Organization of the Netherlands and Flanders (NVAO).
