Nyenrode Scholarship Fund officially launched during lustrum
Type: CommunityPublication date: 6/10/2022On Saturday, June 4, Koen Becking, Rector Magnificus and Chairman of the Executive Board, as well as Elyas Razawi, former scholarship student of the BSc in Business Administration, officially launched the new Nyenrode Scholarship Fund. With a push of the red button, they gave the starting signal in a large tent on the estate during the lustrum festivities in honor of the 75th anniversary of Nyenrode Business University.

Building bridges for exchanges, research, and international education

Homecoming of a long-lost bell from 1915
Type: CommunityPublication date: 2/10/2022After an absence of more than 80 years, one of Nyenrode’s old bells has returned to the castle. The bell was once part of the bell ensemble that the lord of the castle, Michiel Onnes, had installed in the lantern on the onion-shaped tower in 1916. The purchase has been made partly possible with a donation from the Nyenrode community, facilitated by Stichting Nyenrode Fonds (Nyenrode Fund). Remmelt Vetkamp, vice-chairman of the University Board, accepted the bell on behalf of the university last February 7.

Nyenrode opens castle doors for weekend getaways

As of spring 2021, it will be possible to book a room at Nyenrode castle at the river Vecht in Breukelen. The revenue will go entirely to the renovation of the foundation of the 750-year-old monument.

WWF contributes to innovative research into nature legal personhood

Establishing natural legal entities may offer a solution. Prof Dr Tineke Lambooy, LLM, Corporate Law Professor at Nyenrode is doing innovative research into ‘natural legal entities’, as part of her research into ‘Rights of Nature’ in the Netherlands.
