In addition, digital channels are being used directly by customers and partners. Nowadays, companies face social opinions on their products, services, data and technology usage. All of these changes require an informed response in strategy to remain relevant and thriving as a business

Curriculum
What are you going to do?
This modules provides you with academic knowledge and practical tools to help you organize technology and data fit for purpose. In block 1 we will focus on this changing position of technology and data and the various ways to organize it and its governance. One of the key concepts is multimodal organizations balancing between stability and agility and between specific and generic solutions. Block 2 deals with the role and organization of data as part of the primary products and services of any organization leading to new business value. Finally, block 3 will give insight in the value of digital ecosystems including managing the market place of (cloud based) services and show you how to understand and analyse your role in your digital ecosystem.
What will you get out of it?
- Be able to design IT governance structures and (multimodal) IT organizations
- Know how to analyse and improve the quality of data
- Design (federated) data organizations
- Develop a strategy for the ecosystem of tech and data services and solutions
Understand what is required to manage multiple third parties (service integration)

Admission and application
To be eligible for the module Business Value of Data and Technology you need:
- At least five years' work experience as (general) manager or in an influential/strategic position
- Proven minimum bachelor's level of work and/or education
- Affinity with ICT
- Sufficient knowledge of English
Experience session
If you are interested in this module, please join us for an experience session. This allows you to familiarize yourself with the course content and attend a trial lecture.
