Nyenrode part-time English (Pre-) Master in Accountancy in Amsterdam

How to apply for a scholarship?

Do you want to pursue a BScBA or a Full-time MSc at Nyenrode, but lack the financial means to afford it? Read here how to apply for a revolving scholarship.

To be eligible for a scholarship, you must be admitted to the respective program. This means you have completed the entire selection process, ending with an 'acceptance letter'. Early scholarship applications without admission to the program will not be considered.

Next, you look at which of the available scholarships best suits you and apply for it. You need to submit the following documents:

  • Financial plan, according to the model on this website
  • Motivation letter, in English, explaining the scholarship(s) you have chosen
  • Curriculum vitae, in English

Email these files (preferably in PDF) no later than May 1, 2025, to scholarships@nyenrode.nl. Incomplete applications (i.e., fewer than 3 documents) will not be considered. So, make sure you submit everything correctly!

After receiving your documents, the Nyenrode Fund staff, program management of the BScBA and MSc programs, and the donors (alumni) of the various scholarships will read and assess your application. You will then be invited for a selection interview. This could be with donors or someone from Nyenrode. These interviews take place on the campus in Breukelen. You can find the dates on the page with dates and deadlines.

Tips for writing your motivation letter:

  • What makes you the right candidate for a scholarship? Think about special qualities, talents, or other skills that distinguish you from others and align with the various scholarships.
  • How do you plan to contribute to student life, both in Breukelen and Amsterdam? And why do you choose this specific location?
  • If you have left fields blank in the financial plan, the motivation letter is the way to explain why you did so.
  • Surprise us and make it personal. It is your story. There is no right or wrong, do not use big words, but just be yourself.
