Jaco de Vos MSc RA CISA

Jaco de Vos MSc RA CISA is following the PhD track, focusing on IT audit(or) in relation to financial audit. He is affiliated with the Center for Accounting, Auditing & Control.

De Vos received his master's and post-master's degree in accountancy from Nyenrode Business University. He also earned the post-master's degree in IT Auditing & Advisory at Erasmus University. His thesis was on cybersecurity at SMEs.

For 4 days a week he works at Van Ree Accountants as manager audit in the SME practice and IT auditor. In the role of IT auditor, he is also part of bureau vaktechniek.

Within Nyenrode, De Vos is active as thesis supervisor and second reader for the thesis track in the bachelor accountancy and for his PhD track he has been a research assistant for one year.

De Vos is committed to making IT audit more accessible and understandable, as well as emphasizing the importance of IT audit in financial audit given its importance and dependence.
