Biography

Lotte Mensink MSc. Is engaged in research on the application of Bayesian statistical techniques in auditing at the Center for Accounting, Auditing & Control.  Besides researching and developing new methods, the goal is also to make these techniques available to auditors through the open-source software JASP.

Mensink studies Methodology and Statistics for the Social, Behavioral and Biomedical Sciences at Utrecht University. She wrote her thesis at the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) the research was on efficient audit sample selection. In addition to her studies, she enjoyed teaching. She mainly taught working groups and labs on statistics to undergraduate students of Social Sciences.

Her goal within the PhD is to make innovative statistical techniques from the academic literature available and accessible to audit practice.

Interests

Mensink’s hobbies are cooking and hiking in the mountains.
