Biography

The appropriate form of business ethics is casuistic. Philosophy assists.

Dr. Jelle van Baardewijk is a lecturer and researcher at the center for Entrepreneurship, Governance & Stewardship. He lectures on business ethics in relation to major social, governmental and economic developments. He loves studying, lecturing, discussing new and old ideas. He is the proud winner of the 2019 Socrates Cup for best philosophy book.

His main research interest is moral dilemma’s in relation to business and policy. He is currently working on moresprudence. Earlier, Van Baardewijk worked at the Vrije Universiteit as assistant professor in policy studies and ethics.

He loves teaching and helping students to understand the secrets of the tradition of ethics.

Personal interests

Van Baardewijk likes to spend time with his wife and their three children. Having fun, sports, enjoying music. The rest of the time he reads, mostly history, poetry.
